Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the thirty-third plenary session of the Senate, senators discussed the Law on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It was noted that systematic work is being carried out in our country to ensure stability in land property and legal relations, guaranteeing the property rights of landowners.
The legal basis for the introduction of land into free circulation as an object of civil law relations is also fixed by establishing its economic value.
This year, the Law “On Procedures for the Withdrawal of Land Plots for Public Needs with Compensation” was adopted.
Due to this, the issues of withdrawal of land plots for public needs with compensation are regulated by a single law of direct action.
It was noted at the meeting that the Law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan” is a logical continuation of ongoing reforms in this area.
The Law amends the Law on Pledge and the Civil Code to strengthen property rights.
In particular, the Law “On Pledge” establishes that if the pledgor’s ownership of property that is the subject of pledge is terminated on the grounds and in the manner prescribed by law as a result of the seizure of property for public needs, the pledgor is provided with other property or appropriate compensation is paid.
Also taking into account that property relations are regulated by the Law “On Procedures for the Withdrawal of Land Plots for Public Needs with Compensation”, the words “legislative acts” in the relevant articles of the Civil Code are replaced by the word “law”.
Thanks to the implementation of this Law, the prevention of various interpretations of the provisions provided for by the current legislation, and the abolition of property rights and the regulation of property relations only within the framework of the Law will be achieved.
At the same time, additional legal conditions are being created to ensure reliable protection of the rights of owners and the complete safety of private property.
After discussions, the law was approved by the senators.
