Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the thirty-fifth plenary session of the Senate, a report of the Government on the implementation of the State Program for the Implementation of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan in 2022-2026 in the Year of Ensuring Human Interests and Development of the Mahalla was heard.
In particular, the tasks of 233 items (33%) and sub-items of the program out of 607 items and sub-items have been fully completed. In the reporting period, 219 regulatory and other acts were adopted.
As a result of timely measures taken by the Government, the GDP indicator in relation to the same period of last year amounted to 5.8%.
The total expenditures of the State budget amounted to 162.4 trillion soums, of which 83.3 trillion soums were spent on the social sphere. General expenses increased by 24.7% compared to the same period of last year.
In the reporting period, 1.9 million citizens were employed in income-generating work.
As part of the development of the service sector, more than 69.3 thousand new trade and service facilities were put into operation, which provided employment for more than 1 thousand people.
In order to actively introduce green economy technologies in all sectors by attracting foreign investments worth more than US$700 million, 5 power plants with a capacity of 1,154 MW were put into operation in Tashkent, Bukhara and Khorezm regions.
In order to further develop road and transport communications, 15,095 km of roads and 104 bridges were repaired at the expense of 5.8 trillion soums.
As part of the program for the development of social and industrial infrastructure, 23.8 trillion soums were allocated for 2,762 facilities. In the reporting period, 466 schools, 163 pre-school educational organizations, 63 medical institutions, 11 sports facilities were put into operation.
About 19.5 thousand places were created in the system of primary health care for day care, and their work was extended until 20:00, as a result of which the number of visits to polyclinics amounted to 191 million, an increase of 4 million compared to the corresponding period last year.
The "youth notebook" includes 182.6 thousand young people in need of social protection, 135.4 thousand of them received social and economic support.
At the same time, at the meeting, the senators noted some shortcomings in the implementation of the State Program.
Thus, the task specified in paragraph 286 of the Program, that is, the installation as an experiment of automatic stations for sampling and analyzing sources of pollution from copper smelters at Novoangren TPP, has not been completed.
In the course of discussing the implementation of the Program, the senators paid special attention to issues that caused numerous complaints from the population.
After discussion, the corresponding resolution of the Senate was adopted.
