Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A gift from the Chairman of the Defense Committee of the State Duma of Russia Vladimir Shamanov presented to the "Museum of Glory" of the Victory Park in Tashkent on 28 May by the Director of the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights Akmal Saidov.
A collection called "Marshal Zhukov" was donated, consisting of objects of artistic value - an exclusive wooden box and a souvenir pen. This limited edition collection was presented by General V. Shamanov to the head of the Uzbek delegation Akmal Saidov during the presentation of the book "Victory Park: the philosophy of courage and resilience" held in Moscow last week.
Director of the State "Museum of Glory" Colonel Mukhtorjon Shokirov thanked for the unique exhibit, noting that this collection will take a worthy place in the department of gifts of foreign statesmen and public figures.
Employees of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan also handed over to the Museum copies of newspapers with articles in different languages about the uniqueness of the Victory Park in Tashkent and books on this topic.
On the same day, the staff of the National Center got acquainted with the exhibits of the State Museum of Glory and other attractions of the Victory Park memorial complex.
