Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 January 2022, a telephone conversation took place between acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye Mevlut Cavusoglu.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry congratulated Bakhtiyor Saidov on his appointment to a high responsible position and wished him success.

The heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries reviewed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation.

An exchange of views took place on the organizational aspects of the upcoming joint events at various levels and formats.

The talks also discussed proposals for further strengthening and expanding Uzbek-Turkish cooperation, both in a bilateral format and within the framework of multilateral structures.
