Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Erkin Bobokulov, first deputy khokim of Nishan district of Kashkadarya region, hit a pedestrian in Karshi district in a service car.

The accident occurred at approximately 23:50 on 30 July at the 12th kilometer of the A-380 highway, passing through the territory of the Takhtapul mahalla of Karshi district.

The pedestrian died in the hospital from the injuries.

According to the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office Khayot Shamsutdinov, a criminal case has been initiated on this fact under Part 2 of Art. 266 (Violation of the rules of traffic safety or operation of vehicles, resulting in the death of a person) of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
