Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 May this year, the Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzbekneftegaz Mekhriddin Abdullayev held online negotiations with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TAPLine Mr. Meng Xiangdong on the implementation of the activities of the joint venture ASIA TRANS GAS LLC, and as well as new areas of cooperation.
The Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC noted the fruitful cooperation between the two parties, and that for many years Uzbekneftegaz JSC has been successfully cooperating with TAPLine in the operation of the Uzbek section of the Central Asia-China gas pipeline.
During the exchange of views, the parties noted the high results achieved by JV Asia Trans Gas LLC in 2021 in the context of the pandemic and related quarantine restrictions, reflecting the high growth in production volumes and profits. The issues of project implementation and cooperation in new areas, covering all priority areas, were also discussed in detail.
Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline Company Limited (TAPLine) is a subsidiary of the state-owned company CNPC (PRC), as well as a co-founder of the Asia trans gas LLC joint venture. JV LLC "Asia Trans Gas" managed to meet the predicted technical and economic indicators and maintain financial stability, ensure effective control over risks and steadily increase the level of management.
This was the result of the organization by the personnel of JV Asia Trans Gas LLC of complex work to ensure the uninterrupted operation of process equipment, measures taken in advance to address urgent issues in all areas of production activities, care for each employee of the team.
At the next meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the activities of the joint venture in 2021, including financial performance, the choice of an independent audit organization and other topical issues.
In 2021, thanks to the right decisions and the continued support of the participants, Asia Trans Gas JV LLC overcame many adverse factors such as the COVID-19 epidemic and the difficult business environment, made every effort to minimize the effects of the pandemic, and maintained steady progress in ensuring safe operation of the gas pipeline "Uzbekistan - China".
The parties agreed to continue the mutually beneficial and fruitful dialogue at the high level achieved.
