Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to data from the National Statistics Committee, the average life expectancy of the permanent population in Uzbekistan reached 75.1 years in 2024, surpassing the 2023 figure of 74.7 years.

An analysis of this indicator’s dynamics over recent decades reveals a steady increase: in 1991, the average life expectancy was 66.4 years; in 1995, it rose to 69.1 years; by 2000, it reached 70.8 years; in 2005, 71.8 years; in 2010, 73 years; in 2015, 73.6 years. A slight decline to 73.4 years was recorded in 2020, but by 2024 the figure rose again to 75.1 years.

As of January 2025, the average age of the country’s population stands at 29.3 years.
