Tasks of Special Representative of the President on foreign policy issues defined

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A decree of the President of Uzbekistan defines the tasks of the special representative of the head of state on foreign policy issues.

This week Abdulaziz Kamilov was appointed to the post of special representative of the President of Uzbekistan on foreign policy issues.

In accordance with the decree, the post of special representative of the President of Uzbekistan on foreign policy issues is included in the structure of the Presidential Administration and is equated in status, terms of remuneration, medical and transport support to the deputy adviser to the head of state.

The Special Representative is appointed and dismissed by the President of Uzbekistan.

The main tasks of the Special Representative were:

ensuring effective promotion of international and regional initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan in foreign policy;

making specific proposals to the president on priority areas of the country's foreign policy and strengthening international cooperation;

establishing regular working contacts with officials of foreign countries and international organizations in order to convey the position of Uzbekistan on global and regional issues, foreign policy;

implementation of special missions on topical issues of foreign policy and international cooperation on the basis of special instructions of the President;

assistance in the preparation of international events and meetings with the participation of the president.
