Tashkent city’s economy grows by 18.6% in 2008

Tashkent city’s economy grew by 18.6% and industrial output increased by 36.8% in 2008.
The city said consumer goods production rose by 23.6% and the volume of rendered services increased by 24.3%.
Share of industry in gross regional product made up 15.7%.
