Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Svetlana Osipova, a member of Uzbekistan’s taekwondo team, has secured an Olympic medal by advancing to the final.
In the semifinals, she defeated South Korea’s Lee Da-bin.
With this achievement, Osipova has made history as the first Uzbek taekwondo athlete to win a medal at the Olympic Games.
