Surkhandarya Region Leads in Grape Production in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–June 2025, farms of all categories in Uzbekistan produced 56.3 thousand tons of grapes, preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee show, marking a 7.8% increase compared to the same period of last year.
Surkhandarya Region led in production with 15.6 thousand tons, followed by Namangan and Kashkadarya regions, each producing 8 thousand tons.
Other significant producers included Bukhara Region with 6.7 thousand tons, Samarkand with 4.9 thousand tons, and Fergana with 3 thousand tons.
Smaller volumes were recorded in Navoiy (2.9 thousand tons), Andijan (2.4 thousand tons), Tashkent and Khorezm (1.4 thousand tons each), Syrdarya (0.9 thousand tons), Jizzakh (0.7 thousand tons), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (0.4 thousand tons).
