Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resident of Termez district, born in 1989, in September 2021 in Denaus district, purchased 2 kg of "opium" from a citizen of Tajikistan for US$14,000 and stored it at the place for further sale residence. This was reported by the press service of the State Security Service.

In June 2022, while selling this drug for US$40,000 s, he, along with his two accomplices, born in 1983 and 1986, living in the city of Termez and the Termez region, were detained by employees of the State Security Service.

As part of the criminal case initiated on this fact, it was established that a resident of the city of Termez, born in 1985, was also involved in this illegal act.

By the verdict of the Termez city court for criminal cases, these 4 persons were found guilty under articles 246 and 273 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 12 to 14 years.
