Starting from 1 May, a penalty points system for srivers may be introduced in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A penalty points system for drivers is set to be introduced in Uzbekistan starting May 1, according to a draft Cabinet of Ministers resolution.

Penalty points will be automatically recorded through the electronic system "E-jarimaball." If a driver accumulates 12 points within one year, they will face administrative responsibility.

In addition, there will be incentives: if a driver has no violations for six months, two penalty points will be annulled. When a driver accumulates eight points, an SMS warning will be sent.

If a driver disagrees with the points assigned, they have the right to appeal them in court.
