Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in a commemorative ceremony for victims of repression at the “Shahidlar Xotirasi” Alley and lay flowers at the Independence Monument in the “Yangi Uzbekistan” Park, the press service of the head of state reported.

In the evening, the president will attend a festive event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the country’s independence and deliver a congratulatory address to the nation.

The schedule also includes the president’s familiarization with ongoing constructive projects in the capital.
