Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev submitted proposals to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis on candidates for the positions of 6 judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, whose term of office expires on 24 August this year.

These are the candidates:

- Balkibayeva Janagul Ismailovna;

- Gafurov Askarjon Boyisovich;

- Davletova Karomatjon Khudaibergenovna;

- Ismailov Rakhat Aminbayevich;

- Rakhimov Abdumannob Kuzievich;

- Rakhmanov Akmal Ergashevich.

If elected by the Senate, they will take office on 24 August.

In addition, the President, by his presentation, proposed the candidacy of Kozimjan Kamilov, who held the post of Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, for the vacant position of a judge of the Constitutional Court.

Also, the head of state, by his submission, submitted to the Senate the candidacy of Presidential Adviser on Coordinating the Activities of Law Enforcement and Supervisory Bodies Bakhtiyor Islamov for the post of Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
