Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 January this year, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis organized a training seminar on the topic "The essence and significance of the Message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan and the role of representative bodies in the implementation of the priority tasks indicated in it."

Members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, chairmen of standing committees and heads of secretariats of local Kengashes of people’s deputies of all levels took part in this educational seminar, organized in the format of videoconferencing.

At the seminar, presentations were made by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Safoev, Deputy Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olim Soliev, Deputy Minister of Justice Aktam Muhammadiev, First Deputy Director of the Agency for Presidential Educational Institutions Dilshod Kenzhaev, Executive Director of the Development Strategy Center Eldor Tulyakov, senators and a number of responsible employees.

It was noted that in the next Address of the head of state, the reforms carried out over the past period were deeply analyzed and important proposals and initiatives were put forward aimed at ensuring the development of the state and society.

In his Address, the President outlined six priority areas and analyzed each of them. In this regard, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis dwelled in his report on all these areas and gave detailed explanations to the participants of the seminar.

So, S. Safoev, focusing on the tasks of implementing the principle of the social state, stressed that from 2023 school education will be completely reformed on the basis of international educational programs, attention to the native language will increase, the level of quality medical care for the population will be taken, measures will be taken to implement investment programs at the mahalla level.

In this regard, it was emphasized that great responsibility is also required from the deputies of local Kengashes.

During the event, other speakers also separately emphasized the importance of the Message, especially the importance of the role of local Kengashes in the successful promotion of reforms on the ground, and the specific tasks outlined in the Message to raise the activities of representative bodies to a new level.

At the end of the seminar, it was once again emphasized that local Kengashes should be active in the quality and timely implementation of the tasks specified in the Message. In this context, the necessary recommendations and proposals were made.
