Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the twenty-third plenary session of the Senate, the issue of sending a parliamentary request to the Cabinet of Ministers on the development of national content for youth and minors on the Internet, the culture of their use of social networks and protection from harmful information was considered.
According to statistics in our country, there are 4.7 million users on Facebook, 3.7 million on Instagram, 288 thousand on LinkedIn, 18 million on Telegram, 16.7 million on “Odnoklassniki”, 51.6 thousand - in "Twitter" and 2.6 million - in "V-kontakte". Most of them are young people.
Recently, under the guise of "mass culture", attempts have been made to promote the spread of ideas of moral degradation and violence, which negatively affect the consciousness of our youth, the acquisition of wealth in various ways, non-observance of the national spiritual culture, its change, and in some cases even destruction.
Malicious information spread through the Internet, various destructive ideas, evil, undermining morality, cause alarm among the population.
On sites in the “uz” domain, there is a posting (by users) of materials or links to other web resources that are alien to our national mentality, that have a negative impact on the consciousness, psyche, spiritual and educational education of citizens, including young people, and can serve to promote immorality, debauchery, pornography, cruelty, violence, gambling and risk-based games.
As of December 2021 alone, 289 pornographic websites have been identified in the national domain space, and another 91 may serve to promote immorality and moral perversion. 2097 cases of offenses were registered.
It was also found that in the Uzbek segment of social networks there are about 130 groups, pages and channels that promote spiritual corruption, on which 2,646 materials (photos, videos, texts, etc.) are distributed.
In addition, the analysis of events taking place in the field of culture shows that only money, wealth and immorality are promoted in feature films, advertising (including on street banners), music and clips. In some cases, scenes are shown that are completely contrary to our national spirituality.
Therefore, it was emphasized that the overall priority is to combat content that promotes immorality and incites religious hatred, online games and sweepstakes that involve risk, web resources that do not recognize family values and promote destructive ideas in society that can harm thinking student youth.
