Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the thirty-fifth plenary session of the Senate, the Law on Ratification of the Military Framework Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Turkiye (Tashkent, on 29 March 2022) was considered.
It was noted that this Agreement was signed on 29 March 2022 during the visit of the President of the Republic of Turkiye to Uzbekistan.
The agreement is aimed at further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkiye in such areas as military training and military education, development of defense industry cooperation, logistics cooperation, cartography and hydrography, exchange of experience in combating mines and improvised explosive devices.
Cooperation activities in these areas are included in the annual plans of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkiye.
During the discussion, it was emphasized that the ratification of the Agreement does not require the allocation of additional funds from the State budget, and all activities organized under the Agreement will be carried out within the budget allocated annually to the Ministry of Defense.
The law was approved by the senators.
