Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology (RSSOMCOG) of the Republic of Uzbekistan is accredited with an international quality certificate for compliance with international standards and protocols.

This is recognition of the application of high international standards in the field of ensuring the safe provision of medical care and the introduction of modern innovative technologies. The level of accreditation of a medical institution is the most accurate indicator of the level of services it provides.

RSSOMCOG is the first and so far the only one among the state medical institutions of Uzbekistan that has successfully passed Accreditation for compliance with international quality standards and received a Certificate.

The ceremony of awarding the Certificate took place on 15 September 2022 in the capital of Kazakhstan during the "International Forum on Quality in Medicine".

The forum, held on the territory of the international technopark Astana hub, was timed to coincide with the World Patient Safety Day, celebrated on 17 September.

The event was attended by representatives of the Administration of the President and the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international organizations such as WHO, the World Bank and other officials.

During the forum, participants discussed a number of topical issues, including the impact of innovative digital technologies on improving the quality of medical services using the SOS system as an example, which makes it possible to monitor a patient's condition at all stages of treatment, helping to improve the efficiency of medical services.
