Rosatom proposes partnership and technology transfer for energy efficiency

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Delegation of the State Corporation Rosatom at the international industrial exhibition Innoprom. Central Asia presented several technologies and solutions for the non-nuclear segment.

Among them is a set of energy efficiency solutions for enterprises, water purification and desalination systems, and intellectualization of transport systems. Yury Mishin, director of the Energy Efficiency project office of the Rosatom division, Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions (RIR), announced his interest in developing cooperation on energy efficiency, proven technologies to reduce energy costs, as well as his willingness to share integrated solutions.

Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions (RIR) is a company that operates non-nuclear generation and conducts projects in three key areas - Thermal Power, Clean Water and Smart City. It is not only about working with a large number of boiler houses, thermal power plants, and solving the problems of outdated networks and equipment. RIR specialists develop intelligent systems depending on the task - optimization and effective management of various processes at the enterprise or city level. Full customer support from the moment of the first dialogue, thorough examination, solution development and turnkey implementation is a feature of the approach of RIR specialists who rely on the quality of the result and the long-term relationship with partners.

“Taking into account the fact that now the tasks of reducing energy costs and introducing energy-efficient technologies also strongly intersect with environmental issues, these two concepts have become indispensable. That is, today, in order to produce high-tech products, we must remember to be not only eenergy-efficientax but also environmentally friendly. Accordingly, we are actively developing "green technologies" in the energy sector. These are storage units with renewable energy sources, and digital platform solutions for energy saving and industrial site management, as well as integrated engineering of energy-saving technologies,” says Yuri Mishin.

Energy-saving technologies have been actively developing in Russia since 2009. The State Corporation Rosatom is already conducting the third cycle of five-year energy saving programs and meeting energy efficiency targets. During this time, the RIR team managed to conduct energy audits of organizations in the nuclear and other industries, as well as implement proven measures to reduce energy costs for their customers. This year, the third cycle of development and implementation of energy saving programs is being completed. Of the results achieved - 23% reduction in energy costs following the results of the first five-year program, the effect of the second cycle amounted to about 18% of energy savings. The goal of the third round of energy efficiency improvements is to keep energy cost savings at a level of at least 2-3% per year.

For this, according to Mishin, the exchange of experience between industrial enterprises that implement economically proven energy saving measures and the mutual transfer of innovative technologies is important.

“From the point of view of relations on the territory of Uzbekistan, we would like to develop opportunities for cooperation on energy efficiency with industrial enterprises, which are the main consumers of energy resources. Having 12 years of experience in implementing measures to reduce energy costs at Russian and foreign enterprises, testing these effects, we would also like to offer technology transfer to our colleagues and industries in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan has also gained some experience in energy conservation. It is interesting to exchange experience in terms of how colleagues have achieved the required performance indicators, what technologies have been applied. I think that based on the symbiosis of mutual cooperation and exchange of experience, we could have a good constructive start and long-term mutual cooperation,” said Yuri Mishin.
