Romanian Ambassador Congratulates Uzbekistan on 34th Independence Anniversary
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Uzbekistan, Daniel Cristian Ciobanu, sent a congratulatory message to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the country’s 34th Independence Day.
In his address, the diplomat emphasized the significance of this date, symbolizing the Uzbek people’s pursuit of freedom, sovereignty, and sustainable development. “Over these years, Uzbekistan has achieved impressive progress in socio-economic and cultural spheres, demonstrated a commitment to strengthening international cooperation, and secured a worthy place on the global stage,” the ambassador noted.
Daniel Cristian Ciobanu also highlighted the importance of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Romania. In October 2025, the two countries will celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations. The ambassador expressed confidence that through open dialogue and mutually beneficial projects, the partnership will continue to thrive.
The message paid special attention to the large-scale reforms and modernization efforts underway in Uzbekistan. “We sincerely wish success in continuing this important path and well-being to all citizens of Uzbekistan,” Ciobanu stated.
He also noted the growth in trade between the countries in recent years and emphasized Romania’s readiness, as a member of the European Union, to actively support the development of cooperation between the EU and Uzbekistan.
The diplomat fondly recalled his symbolic video messages for Uzbekistan’s Independence Day from various natural and historical sites across the country, highlighting his respect and admiration for Uzbekistan’s culture and spirit.
He concluded his message by wishing peace, prosperity, good health, and success to all citizens of Uzbekistan in realizing their aspirations.
