Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In recent years, Uzbekistan has been focusing on young personnel, including in the public sector. According to experts, in most ministries and departments, personnel of a new formation are in responsible positions.

Strategic thinking, high qualifications, initiative, openness to change and a broad outlook. These qualities characterize progressive managers.

Last year, the Yuksalish National Movement, together with the Institute of Social and Economic Initiatives, decided to form an annual rating of promising leading personnel in Uzbekistan up to 40 years old. At the same time, the Top-35 progressive managers of the republic were compiled.

This year, experts have formed a long list of almost one hundred nominees (last year 60 nominees). Top 40 was selected from among them. The final ranking took into account age, education, career growth, the recognition of leaders among the public, the level of their participation and influence on the reform agenda.

In particular, this year for the first time the rating includes:

• Akmalkhon Ortikov, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction;

• Bekzot Mavlonov, Head of the Department of Legal Expertise and Comprehensive Analysis of the Presidential Administration;

• Bobur Abdinazarov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction;

• Botir Zakhidov, First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank - Member of the Board;

• Diana Baizakova, Director of the International Arbitration Center

• Dilshod Saidjanov, First Deputy of the Agency of Information and Mass Communications under the Presidential Administration

• Dilnozakhon Kattakhanova, Deputy Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs

• Jamshid Urunov, Deputy Business Ombudsman

• Ilkhom Norkulov, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction;

• Oleg Pekos, First Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications;

• Olimjon Tuychiev, Deputy Minister of Innovative Development;

• Otabek Khasanov, First Deputy Director of the Civil Service Development Agency under the President;

• Rustam Karimjonov, Deputy Minister of Public Education;

• Sardor Kariev, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry;

• Tursunboy Makhkamov, First Deputy Director of the Capital Market Development Agency;

• Usman Sharifkhadzhayev, First Deputy Minister of Public Education;
