Quarantine requirement for arrivals from 11 countries lifted

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan abolished the requirement for a 10-day quarantine at home or in a hotel for passengers on flights from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Egypt, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

The corresponding decision was made by the Special Commission to Combat Coronavirus in Uzbekistan.

This requirement has been in effect since the beginning of December 2021 and was introduced in connection with the spread of the omicron coronavirus strain.

International flights are also being restored (entry, exit and entry into the country by transit flights) with Hong Kong, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini, Tanzania and the Republic of South Africa.

This restriction was also introduced in early December 2021. Citizens of third countries who have visited these states in the last 14 days are now allowed to enter the territory of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the commission reduced the quarantine period for citizens who were in contact with a person who had confirmed coronavirus from 14 to 7 days.
