Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the Annual Meeting of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia, Uzbekistan spoke in favor of promoting the following priorities in the activities of the regional platform in 2022.

In order to further develop the Dialogue as an effective mechanism for regional cooperation between women, it was proposed to create the following specialized platforms under the auspices of the Dialogue.

Business cooperation platform. In 2021, successful work has already begun in this direction by holding several business forums, a series of B2B meetings and the creation of a Discussion Club of Women Entrepreneurs of Central Asia.

Platform for interaction at the level of civil society organizations. A regional forum with the participation of civil society organizations, held recently, has shown the relevance of this issue. There is a great interest and need in the establishment and development of cooperation between the institutions of civil society in our countries. Regularly communicating, exchanging views and interacting, they significantly increase their potential and can bring their vision, proposals and recommendations to women leaders in high political positions on solving urgent problems related to women in societies and countries of Central Asia.

Youth cooperation platform. Recently, under the auspices of the Dialogue, a training camp was held for girls from Central Asian countries on leadership, mentoring and gender equality. As a result, the participants of the camp adopted an Appeal to the Dialogue, which expressed a request to consider holding such events on a regular basis. Such a platform is very relevant and will serve to bring our future women leaders closer together.

A platform for interaction between women scientists and scientific researchers.

As you know, realizing the potential of women in the digitalization of the economy, in the field of science, advanced information technologies and science-intensive sectors, supporting their participation in innovative projects are urgent tasks in the countries of Central Asia. In this regard, the creation of such a platform for cooperation will contribute to the rapprochement of women scientists in the region and the promotion of their regional initiatives.

It is obvious that the creation and organization of such platforms requires significant human, organizational and financial resources.

In this context, Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Chairperson of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian Countries, emphasized that it is very important to receive the support of governments and international partners for the implementation of the tasks. key UN agencies and other international organizations.

The implementation of all of the above tasks and plans voiced by the Uzbek side will certainly give a powerful impetus to progress in the field of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in Central Asia.
