Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From the 2023/2024 academic year, primary school students will receive free meals in all schools in Uzbekistan.

This is envisaged by the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On the State Program for the Implementation of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022–2026 in the “Year of Care for the Person and Quality Education”.

The head of Uzbekistan instructed, starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, to organize the provision of primary school students with free meals in all regions of the republic and in the city of Tashkent.

At the same time, the President instructed to ensure the supply of food, normalized according to the age and state of health of students, as well as meeting sanitary requirements.
