Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan intends to ban some individuals from holding leadership positions in the system of general secondary education.
The Ministry of Public Education has developed a draft law “On the introduction of amendments to the Law “On Education”.
The document envisages a ban on the appointment of a number of persons to senior positions in the system of general secondary education.
In particular, it is proposed to ban the following persons from holding leadership positions:
- previously convicted for an intentional crime (regardless of whether the conviction was canceled or withdrawn);
- committed (intentionally) criminal offenses for which no conviction has been issued;
- recognized by the court as incapable or partially capable;
- registered in psychiatric or narcological institutions;
- suffering from a disease that prevents them from exercising leadership in the system of general secondary education.
