President of Uzbekistan Holds Phone Conversation with Sultan of Oman

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 4 March, a telephone conversation took place between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.

During the discussion, the leaders addressed the tense situation in the Middle East and expressed concern over the growing instability in the region.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized Uzbekistan’s commitment to resolving any conflicts solely through political-diplomatic means and negotiations.

He specifically highlighted Oman’s active role as a mediator and its efforts to ensure regional security, expressing gratitude to the Sultan for facilitating the protection of Uzbek citizens in the country and their safe return home.

In response, the Sultan of Oman thanked President Mirziyoyev for his solidarity and support, expressing confidence in the successful conduct of the upcoming historic high-level visit to Muscat.
