Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Chairman of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Nurdinjon Ismoilov.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, relying on strong ties of friendship and good neighborliness, common cultural values, have built strong and harmonious relations, which are an example of interstate partnership.

The President of Kazakhstan highly appreciated the results of the state visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kazakhstan in December last year, which made it possible to bring the Kazakh-Uzbek cooperation to the level of an alliance.

 “Uzbekistan is a brotherly state and a reliable partner for Kazakhstan, so we attach particular importance to the development of our relations. Our allied relations cover a wide spectrum, including the political, trade, economic, and humanitarian and cultural spheres. Parliamentary diplomacy plays a special role in this regard, the Head of State said.

In turn, Nurdinjon Ismoilov expressed gratitude to Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev for the opportunity to meet, and also conveyed sincere wishes and warm greetings from the President of Uzbekistan.
