Passenger Car Production in Uzbekistan Rises 6.7% in 2025 to 457,883 Units

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–December 2025, enterprises in Uzbekistan produced 457,883 passenger cars, 6.7% more than the 429,139 cars manufactured during the same period in 2024, according to the National Statistics Committee.

The largest growth was recorded in the segment of specialized vehicles, with production more than doubling—from 25,464 units in 2024 to 54,301 in 2025, representing an increase of 113.2%.

Statistics by individual models show varied trends. Production of the Cobalt model decreased by 2.3% to 161,152 units, Damas fell by 8.1% to 93,681 units, and Onix declined by 20.5% to 33,122 cars. At the same time, Tracker output grew by 9.7% to 50,362 vehicles. KIA also saw growth of 19.3% to 26,317 units, and Chery increased by 32.3% to 9,354 cars.

The most impressive growth was demonstrated by the Haval and BYD brands. Haval production rose more than 2.8 times, from 3,315 to 9,344 units, while BYD output increased more than fivefold, from 4,004 to 20,200 vehicles. During the reporting period, production of the Tank 500 model was also recorded at 50 units.

A positive trend was observed in the truck segment as well, with production rising 25.4% over the year to 4,460 units.
