Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 October, a meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation was held in the city of Samarkand.

The meeting participants considered the appeal of the Central American Parliament on the issue of participation in the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of States - Members of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Another important issue for discussion was the preservation of historical memory and the inadmissibility of attempts to falsify history.

The members of the commission heard information about the participation of a group of observers of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly in observing elections in the region.

The participants of the meeting summed up the work of the commission in 2022 and elected deputy chairmen of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation.
