Over 87,000 children voluntarily vaccinated in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 5 October, 87,710 children aged 12 to 18 in Uzbekistan were voluntarily vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

Currently, mass vaccination in the country is carried out at 3,138 vaccination stations and 18,828 active teams. Children over 12 years old can be vaccinated against coronavirus at any vaccination center in the region with the consent of their parents and guardians.

According to the Ministry of Health, more than 19 thousand children from Andijan region, 14.61 thousand from Samarkand region, 12.07 thousand from Karakalpakstan, 12.06 thousand from Fergana region and 11.35 thousand from Surkhandarya region received the first dose of the vaccine against coronavirus. At the same time, 72 children received the first dose of the vaccine in Tashkent.

A total of 1,200,000 doses of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine have been delivered to our country, and as of October 5, 465,010 doses of this vaccine have been used in the vaccination process.
