Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Employees of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Services of Uzbekistan revealed facts of violation of the requirements of the labor legislation of Uzbekistan on compulsory vaccination of workers.
Employees of the service of sanitary and epidemiological welfare and public health conducted almost 28 thousand inspections of 7905 economic entities and 20,018 budgetary organizations. This was reported by the press service of the organization.
The purpose of the inspections is to identify the facts of violations of the requirements of labor legislation on compulsory vaccination of employees and to take timely measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection among the population.
So, during the inspections, 50,056 unvaccinated citizens were identified, 11,244 of whom are employees of economic entities, 38,812 are employees of budgetary organizations. As a result, 26,008 citizens were suspended from work.
In addition, in 2,225 cases, employers were fined and 175 facilities were suspended.
In August, amendments were made to the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to which if an employee refuses to undergo preventive vaccination, introduced in the presence of a threat of the spread of infectious diseases (in the absence of contraindications for health reasons), the employer has the right not to allow him to work.
