Over 150 specialists from Russia to work In Uzbekistan within the "Klass!" project

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the new academic year in Uzbekistan, Russian teachers will continue to teach schoolchildren as part of the humanitarian Russian-Uzbek project "Klass!" (Great!).

The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Education of Russia together with the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education of Russia.

In the new academic year, 153 Russian specialists will work in the republic: 104 teachers of the Russian language, 35 subject teachers in chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics, 14 methodologists of advanced training courses. In the 2021/22 academic year, over 90 Russian teachers taught children in Uzbek schools.

As part of the project, a line of educational and methodological complex for teaching Russian as a foreign language for students in grades 2-11 was developed. Textbooks for the second grades have already been introduced into the educational process since September 2021. In the new academic year, schools in Uzbekistan will receive new Russian language textbooks for schoolchildren in grades 3-11. Textbooks were compiled by specialists of the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Herzen together with the Republican Education Center under the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In addition, 70 video lessons based on new Russian language textbooks have been created for 2nd grade schoolchildren.

Russian-Uzbek humanitarian project "Klass!" aims to improve the quality of teaching the Russian language and general subjects in Russian in schools in Uzbekistan. A memorandum on the implementation of the project was signed in October 2020 by the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan and the Alisher Usmanov Art, Science, Sports Charitable Foundation. The project operators are the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Herzen, International Center for Education "Interdom" named after E.D. Stasova, Research Institute named after A.
