Outbound Tourism from Uzbekistan Increased by 22% in 2025, with 7.6 Million Citizens Traveling Abroad
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, 7.6 million Uzbek citizens traveled abroad for tourism purposes, according to the National Statistics Committee. This figure represents an increase of nearly 1.4 million people, or 22.2%, compared to the previous year.
The majority of trips were to neighboring Central Asian countries. The top destination was the Kyrgyz Republic, visited by 3.3 million Uzbek citizens over the year.
Kazakhstan and Tajikistan followed, with 1.3 million trips to each country.
Among more distant destinations, Russia remained the most popular, receiving 433.3 thousand visitors from Uzbekistan.
Saudi Arabia recorded significant tourist traffic as well, with 366.2 thousand trips, partly due to religious tourism. Türkiye was visited by 268.9 thousand Uzbek citizens, and the United Arab Emirates by 139.4 thousand.
Other countries in the top ten most visited by Uzbeks included Egypt with 65.4 thousand trips, China with 52.6 thousand, and Vietnam with 39.1 thousand.
