Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 25 September, the process of online entrance exams for grades 5-9 of the Specialized School for Advanced Study of Information and Communication Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy for the 2020/2021 academic year started.
Today, on 25 September, the entrance exams for the 5th grade started. Online exams for 6th grade admission will take place on 26 September, 7th grade on 27 September, 8th grade on 28 September, and 9th grade on 29 September.
The Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Agency for the Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, organized the acceptance of student documents in an online format from 10 September to 20 September for admission to grades 5-9 of the Specialized School for Advanced study of subjects of the direction of information and communication technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi for the 2020/2021 academic year through the official website of the school www.ictschool.uz.
During the application process, a total of 5058 applications were submitted to the school’s official website. Of these, 3396 applications were accepted. The remaining 1,662 applications were rejected due to shortcomings in them.
In particular, for admission to the 5th grade, a total of 1261 applications were received, to the 6th grade - 790, to the 7th grade - 580, to the 8th grade - 441 and 9th grade - 324 applications.
The teachers who have accepted the applications take part in the entrance examinations held on 25-29 September.
Exams are held for grades 5-6 in mathematics, English, for grades 7, 8, 9 - in mathematics, physics and English in the form of online tests and logic tasks.
Those who scored the highest number of points at the first stage of the exam and entered the 5th grade 360 students, 6th grade 180 students, 7th grade 180 students, 8th grade 180 students and 9th grade 90 students - only 990 people get the opportunity to take part in the second stage of the exam.
Students who have successfully passed the exams are interviewed on 5-7 October, using the ZOOM program.
The online interview for grades 5 students will take place on 5 October, for grades 6 - on 6 October, for grades 8-9 - on 7 October.
At the second stage of the English exam, 1 topic is given for reading, translation and verification of the level of oral proficiency in English, 2 examples are given in mathematics and physics.
Examination tests will be conducted with the participation of specialists from Inha University in Tashkent, Amity University in Tashkent, Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.
According to the quota for this year, 120 students will be selected on a competitive basis for the 5th grade, 60 students for the 6th grade, 60 students for the 7th grade, 60 students for the 8th grade and 30 students for the 9th grade. - a total of 330 students.
Starting from 10 September, in order to create convenience for parents and for calls, a Call-center with a short number 1206 was organized.
