On holidays, medical institutions to work on a duty basis

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On these holidays and weekends, in order to ensure a pleasant rest for compatriots in all regions, exhibitions of consumer goods with reduced prices are organized.

Medical services play a special role in ensuring that the population celebrates the holiday in peace, tranquility and harmony. During the holidays, doctors and paramedics will work on an appropriate schedule in all healthcare facilities in the country. This means that on holidays, medical institutions will operate continuously, around the clock.

In particular, on holidays in the existing in the system of the Ministry of Health 2 369 outpatient and polyclinic institutions, as well as in all hospitals of the district, regional and republican levels, specialized scientific and practical medical centers, clinics of medical higher educational institutions, medical workers will serve the population on a duty basis.

Emergency hospitals and ambulance services will operate continuously as usual. In particular, the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid, its 13 regional branches, all departments in the system of district and city medical associations will operate. There will be 14 Call-centers in working mode across the republic and 12 837 doctors and 27 653 paramedical workers from the existing 2 748 ambulance brigades will provide qualified medical care to the population around the clock on a duty basis.

In addition, 219 maternity facilities will operate on holidays. In particular, from December 31 to January 1, 583 obstetricians-gynecologists, 344 neonatologists, 1172 obstetricians and 2042 nurses will provide medical services to women and children.
