Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The leadership of the women’s Olympic football team of Uzbekistan was entrusted to experienced specialist Midori Honda. 

Today, the Japanese specialist started her first training camp at the Chigatoi base. The first trainings were attended by the chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, his first deputy, the first vice-president of the Football Association of Uzbekistan Ravshan Irmatov, who, in turn, wished good luck to foreign experts. Officials said that the team will be given all the conditions to achieve its goals and objectives.

In a conversation with the players, it was said that everyone should act as a single soul for the good of the team. Also, the leadership of the NOC and AFU expressed confidence that our team would take part in the Paris 2024 Olympics, stressed the importance of the upcoming tournaments along this path, the need for systematic and high-quality preparation for them, worthy of protecting the honor of our country.

The main goal of attracting a Japanese specialist to the national team is to ensure the participation of our players in the Olympic Games not only in the men’s, but also in the women’s team.

Since 2021, the Olympic football club has been created, which won a ticket to the Super League in 1 year. The team led by Temur Kapadze is also focused on participating in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
