New high-voltage substation launched in Uzbek east

New high-voltage substation launched in Uzbek east

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekenergo [Uzbek Electricity] state joint-stock company has launched a new substation with the voltage of 500 kV and worth US$13.4 million.

The implementation of the project would make it possible to improve reliable electricity supply for consumers in regions of Fargona Valley and efficient work of the country’s energy system.

The company intends to implement projects worth about US$75 millin in 2009.
