Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Resolution of the President "On the establishment of the Navoi State Mining and Technology University" was adopted. 

By the Resolution, the Navoi State Mining Institute was reorganized into the Navoi State Mining and Technological University.

The university trains specialists with higher education and scientific and pedagogical personnel for such areas as industry, technical and technological and engineering.

According to the Resolution, the following will be formed at the University:

Nukus Mining Institute;

Scientific and technological industrial park “Navoi”;

In the 2022/2023 academic year:

Karmana Polytechnic College;

Gazgan Polytechnic College.

Technical schools at the University organize training in such areas as "industry", "mining", "metallurgy", "engineering", "construction", "energy", "electrical engineering" and "services".

A system of employment of senior students of the University will be introduced through the payment of wages to them, in particular during the period of internship. 

From the 2023/2024 academic year, the University will organize the training of technical personnel on the basis of joint educational programs.
