MTS Uzbekistan subscribers’ base increases by 0.7% in May

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Number of MTS Uzbekistan, largest mobile communication operator of Uzbekistan, reached 7.48 million as of 31 May 2010.

Mobile TeleSystems OJSC, largest mobile communication operator in Russia and the CIS states, said the subscribers base grew by 0.7% or 50,000 users compared to April 2010.

Number of subscribers of the company rose by 14.9% or 970,000 users compared to the same period of 2009, the operator said.

Consolidated subscribers’ number of Mobile TeleSystems made up 98.98 million at the end of May 2010.
