MTS Uzbekistan has over 6.3m subscribers

Subscriber base of MTS Uzbekistan grew by 5.6% in April 2009 compared to March 2009, Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) said in a statement.
The company said its Uzbek subsidiary attracted 330,000 new subscribers in April. As of 30 April 2009, the subscribers’ base of MTS Uzbekistan reached 6.3 million.
MTS Uzbekistan is former Uzdunrobita and it is largest mobile operator of Uzbekistan on terms of subscribers’ number.
