Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 November 2020, Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Zainiddin Nizamhodjaev took part in an online meeting of the Standing Committee of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

During the event, issues of the current activities of the organization were discussed.

The presentation of the winner of the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize, the UN World Food Program, represented by its executive director David Beasley, was heard, as well as information on the activities of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Secretary General and Treasurer of the OSCE PA.

In addition, the event reviewed the report of Lord Bowness, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Rules of Procedure and Working Practices, on the process of reforming the “Rules of Procedure” (organization rules).

As a result of the meeting, the participants outlined the priority areas of work and the revitalization of the organization.
