Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Measures will be taken in Uzbekistan to organize free rental of school textbooks and workbooks. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov.

"The president was informed about the objections of the general public and parents regarding the sharp increase in the rent for school textbooks and workbooks," Asadov said.

“Taking into account that school textbooks play an extremely important role in the general secondary education of children, and in order to support schoolchildren, their parents and legal representatives, ensure social justice, the head of state instructed the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Public Education to take urgent measures to organize free rent school textbooks and workbooks,” Asadov said in a statement.

Now there is a paid system for renting school textbooks and workbooks in Uzbekistan.
