Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A decree by the President of Uzbekistan on "Additional Measures for the Accelerated Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry" has been adopted.

The document assigns new tasks to the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Among these tasks are the development of the production of dietary supplements and cosmetic products. This includes market research and analysis, localization of production, and the promotion of the adoption of advanced foreign practices and standards in this area.

Special attention will also be given to monitoring and accounting for investment projects implemented at regional pharmaceutical enterprises in cooperation with local khokimiyats.

In addition, one of the key tasks will be the digitalization of the pharmaceutical industry and the introduction of information technologies aimed at improving efficiency and safety.

Furthermore, by the end of 2025, the laboratory of the Pharmaceutical Safety Center must undergo the prequalification procedure by the World Health Organization.
