“Mahallalik Seven” Embraces New Standards of Service and Tourist Infrastructure
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 2 March, in Tashkent, a pilot seminar-training was held under the programme “MILLIY MEHMONDO‘STLIK DASTURI” for the “Mahallalik Seven,” focusing on the development of hospitality and service.
The main goal of the event was to enhance the professional knowledge and practical skills of the Mahallalik Seven members, establish unified service standards, and strengthen tourist infrastructure at the mahalla level.
During the training, participants discussed ways to increase the tourist appeal of local areas, develop effective communication skills with residents and visitors, implement modern approaches to event organization and service management, and stimulate local economic activity and employment by improving service quality.
Special attention was given to the creation of national service standards for receiving and accompanying guests within the mahallas.
For the practical application of the training, three mahallas with a focus on tourism were selected, involving active participation from Mahallalik Seven members.
The seminar included representatives from the Tashkent City Directorate of the Agency for Management Efficiency Enhancement under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the City Tourism Department, as well as responsible staff from district khokimiyats.
Given the importance of the event for fostering a culture of hospitality at the mahalla level and establishing national service standards, the seminar-training will continue for an additional two days.
