Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Decree "On measures to simplify the procedure for leasing agricultural land plots" was adopted. 

According to this document, the procedure for approval by the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokims of regions and the city of Tashkent of the results of open electronic competitions for the provision of agricultural land for lease has been canceled. Previously, the khokim’s decision was required before signing a lease agreement.

It is reported that earlier the decision of the khokim had to be made before the conclusion of the lease agreement.

Also, according to the document, a special priority has been established for citizens who have returned from abroad this month and who want to rent land for dekhkan farming. Lease of land is carried out on the basis of an open electronic competition.
