Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand, it is planned to appoint a new Secretary General of the organization.

It is expected that the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkey, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, will be appointed as the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States.

The Secretary General of the Organization is elected for a term of three years. Currently, this position is held by Baghdad Amreev.
