Issues of socio-economic development of Samarkand and Bukhara regions were discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov from a studio in Samarkand held a discussion in the format of a video conference, during which the progress in the execution of instructions given following the visits of the Head of State to Samarkand and Bukhara regions was considered , and instructions given during the working visits of the Government Commission on foreign trade, investment, development of local industry and technical regulation in these regions. They also discussed the current indicators of the socio-economic development of the two regions and the priority tasks for its further stimulation.

The need to intensify work to attract investment and accelerate the implementation of projects within the framework of regional investment programs was noted. By the end of this year, the implementation of 1,184 projects worth 12.1 trillion soums is scheduled in Samarkand region, which will create 17.3 thousand new jobs, and in Bukhara region - 584 projects worth 5.7 trillion soums, as a result of which 12.3 thousand new jobs.

Further steps were also identified for the development of industries, agriculture and the service sector. The heads of the relevant departments and industry associations were instructed to work out proposals for the implementation of new investment projects to localize the production of industrial products with high added value through visits to districts and cities of regions.

The current indicators of export activity were studied - instructions were given to intensify targeted work to identify and solve the problems of entrepreneurs and exporters.

Also, during the discussion, a number of individual issues were considered, requiring coordinated actions of ministries, departments and local authorities.

As a result of the videoconference, the responsible managers received targeted instructions and instructions to solve the problems raised during the discussion.
