Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea has organized online negotiations between Minister of Health Alisher Shadmanov and the management of Samsung C&T and Iljin Engineering and Construction, Dunyo news agency reported.
The meeting was also attended by the responsible heads of the ministries of investment and foreign trade, health of Uzbekistan, specialists of the Samsung C&T representative office in Tashkent, as well as the director of the National Children’s Medical Center.
During the negotiations, the issue of the early completion of work on the installation of medical equipment at the National Children’s Medical Center in the capital of Uzbekistan was discussed.
The Minister of Health informed that this project has become a symbol of friendship between Uzbekistan and South Korea and it was emphasized that the Center is a unique pediatric institution for Central Asia, specializing in high-tech medical services. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally visited the facility in May this year and noted that the center would become a national treasure of Uzbekistan.
Vice President of Samsung C&T Lee Bom Sung said that his company and project partners are systematically working to ensure the commissioning of all equipment for the National Children’s Medical Center in Tashkent. According to him, taking into account the ongoing coronavirus pandemic around the world, the delivery and installation schedules of the required equipment, as well as the timing of the visit of the relevant specialists for their commissioning, were revised. Currently, with the assistance of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, all organizational work has been promptly resolved for the full implementation of the project.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the implementation by the South Korean side of the entire range of measures according to the agreed schedules, taking into account the timing of the completion of all work in accordance with the Agreement.
