Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Based on the results of inspections conducted by the state tax authorities in September-October this year, illegal trade in alcohol and tobacco products worth 1.25 billion soums was prevented.

In particular, according to the results of inspections carried out in relation to 137 business entities selling alcoholic products and 350 citizens engaged in illegal trade, the illegal circulation of 31,582 units of alcoholic products in the amount of 752.6 million soums was stopped.

Including was seized in the prescribed manner:

in 74 cases - 14,075 units of products worth 302.1 million soums with fake excise stamps;

in 14 cases - 853 units in the amount of 25.1 million soums without excise stamps;

in 17 cases - 999 units in the amount of 138.2 million soums with old excise stamps;

in 12 cases - 900 units worth 21.2 million soums without digital marking;

in 14 cases - 355 units in the amount of 8.8 million soums without proper permits;

350 citizens - 14,400 units worth 257.2 million soums without relevant documents.

During inspections of the activities of business entities and citizens selling tobacco products, the illegal circulation of 40,267 packs of tobacco products for a total of 497.6 million soums was stopped.

Including was seized in the prescribed manner:

15 business entities have 13,934 packs worth 101.6 million soums without excise stamps and without digital marking;

302 citizens who have not passed state registration - 26,333 packs worth 396 million soums.

The documents collected in these cases were sent to law enforcement agencies for taking appropriate measures in the manner prescribed by law.
